Remarks: Conrail did a nice job maintaining facilities thru the early 90's. The old New York Central Tower 30 is serving as an MOW office and the Utica Yard office in 1991. Selkirk to Toledo SETO is passing by mid afternoon which was the standard time for this train. Trailing unit is CR SD40 # 6256, former PC # 6256 blt 12-1970.

Remarks: Montreal (St. Luc) to Washington, DC train 556 rolls out of the short Belden Tunnel just north of Binghamton NY. Known as West Portal under Guilford and D&H, this location became South Portal and then CPF-599 under CP. The metal structure houses a winter storm door.

Remarks: Black and White Kodachrome! An EB loaded coal train bound for Roseton, NY with NS run through power rolls down the Mohawk River valley. The early morning Fall fog is still heavy creating an almost entirely black and white scene. Trailing unit is C36-7 NS 8511. Actual location is the Town of Mohawk, just east of Yosts.

Remarks: NS deadhead OCS departs Binghamton Yard on the Number 2 Running Track after making a crew change on its trip from Harrisburg, PA to CP Mohawk Yard, Schenectady, NY. From there the GP's and part of the train will continue onto Pan Am Southern at East Deerfield, MA and Ayer, MA. The 2 GP's (NS 5646 and NS 5608) and first 2 passenger cars are an NS Geometry Train deadheading to Ayer, MA with the OCS. Rest of train is the ABBA set and 9 NS business cars.

Remarks: Pan Am Southern local AD1 is picking up 9 cars off the Vermont Railway Bennington Branch. Cars were just delivered and spotted by the Vermont Railway B&R Job. The B&M 332 will then double on to 16 more cars in the yard and depart for Hoosick Jct, NY at 4:00PM with 25 cars. This line was the old Rutland "Corkscrew" to Bennington and Chatham, NY. B&M 332 is ex Conrail, ex Penn Central 3253.

Remarks: The SB Rutland to North Bennington Job rolls by the old Rutland Railway station at Arlington with the Mack Molding (plastics) tower in the background. The ex ATSF/BNSF unit is on lease to Vermont Rail System since Spring 2009. It's the sole power on todays train which consists of 5 covered hoppers and 7 Omya limestone slurry tankers.
