N&W Class J #611 is homeward bound now as the train has just departed Lynchburg, Virginia en route to Roanoke, Virginia.

The Queen of Steam is on home rails during it's 2015 maiden trip back to it's home of the Star City, Roanoke, Virginia.

The N&W 611 excursion from Norfolk continues west through Lynchburg with diesel power. Meanwhile, 611 is getting under way in Norfolk, and will travel to Roanoke under cover of darkness.

Having made a successful return to Roanoke the night before, N&W 611 is now back in charge of its excursion train as it crosses the James River on SR rails.
