Old 113 crosses the Left Fork of the Buckhannon River with 25 loads of coal. This short coal hauler is rarely photographed, but exceedingly interesting.
Standing in the rain, watching 6 locomotives (3 more on the rear) and 100 loads of coal grind up the 2+ percent grade over the town of Covel. A nice way to spend National Train Day.
While the scenery is lacking compared to home, you can't beat the sunrises and sunsets on the flat lands. Eastbound Q train heads toward Deshler at Sunset.
