Texas and Pacific 610 sits in Southern Railway's shop before having its appearance altered for excursion duties. Another big Lima, SP 4449, was also in town under steam at the Birmingham station.
A very interesting combination of power leads a westbound SP freight. The 434-B & A are SD40 prototype units built on SD35 frames. They also had flared radiators which appered later on SD45 units.... (more)
