Following the departure of the southbound Silver Star, the platform lights of the Cary Amtrak station illuminate the CSX rails which will now lie dormant until morning.

A local camera club is out on a field trip working on night exposures with the southbound Silver Star as the main event. Most folks seemed to have an enjoyable first time railfanning.
