While 630 was laying over in Asheville for 3 hours, we managed to catch NS 1071, the CNJ Heritage unit, east of Asheville leading an empty limestone train.
The NS 1071 Jersey Central sits on the main after being tied down by the yard crew and waits for her crew to arrive for the trip north up the Pumpkin Vine to Roanoke, Va.
The 'Central Railroad of New Jersey' heritage SD70ACe leads empty hopper train 591 down track 2 through Lilly. The New York Central was leading a Z5R westbound about 20 minutes ahead of the 591.
