Around 10:30pm the night before, BNSF's Longmont Turn struck a tree stump deliberately placed on the tracks. The lead unit, BNSF 8105, somehow managed to stay mostly upright.

Whilst resurfacing the platform an apprentice was left in charge of the roller and promptly dropped it over the edge, unfortunately right in front of a Southend-Liverpool St service.

I'm no expert on motive power, but I think its pretty clear this GP60 won't be seeing any road service any time soon.
