After returning to the train and preforming an air-test, 581-22 was back on the move west with a decent train. Hot on it's heels was 271, who had been holding at Homer.
A great pair of pacman SD40-2's preform an unique switching operation at the 308 cross-over switch. Once in a blue moon 581 will use the switch to drop cars, but usually it is G77's job.
A somewhat rare decent looking Dual Flag SD40-2, 6001, along with CP 5963 make good time through Winona on 499-20 late in the day. Sure was nice to see some SD40-2 is great evening light!
A pickup truck darts across the track last second, right ahead of 499. Note that the train was doing every bit of track speed (50MPH). People sure can be idiots!
