“Seven, Count ‘Em…7” RF&P 145 plus six additional bring CSX R171 (formerly OBSS), the Orange Blossom Special-South, west through Rosedale on the (former B&O) Philadelphia Subdivision, on January 31, 1988 at 10:35.
Based on the number of units and their configuration (and especially the orientation of the RF&P units), as well as the train size, I’m guessing the previous day’s R171 had been annulled, and these locomotives would represent the power from two separate (northbound) R172s (presumably R172-28 and R172-29).
