Running late, as usual these past few years, Amtrak 3, the westbound Southwest Chief, heading to Los Angeles from Chicago, departs Flagstaff at 11:25 pm (23:25), 1 hour 47 minutes behind schedule. The six-car train, powered by P42DCs 155 and 14, was supposed to be here for a short time, but a lost suitcase caused the crew to begin searching in the coach/baggage cars' compartments until it was located. Despite the additional delay, kudos to the crew's dedication to locate the missing suitcase. (Flagstaff, Arizona – November 6, 2022)
