Burlington Northern Santa Fe train M-BARSDG1-06 (Merchandise, Barstow CA to San Diego CA) descends Cajon Pass on November 6, 2001. Six years after the Santa Fe Railway was merged out of existence, lead locomotive 869 still wears its original Santa Fe "Superfleet" paint job without any BNSF patch on the cab, although eight years of wear and tear since this Dash 8-40CW rolled out of the GE factory in Erie, PA, are clearly evident.
