| Conrail Quality: CR 5616 is an SD60I assembled at CR's Juniata Shops in Altoona - the "I" designating an isolated cab to minimize noise and vibration. By this time Conrail had really hit its stride and had evolved into a relatively lean and prosperous enterprise from the ashes of the whole Northeastern railroad debacle of the 70s. The 5616 leads westbound empty hoppers beneath the eastward home signals for MG that are showing clear on both Nos. 1 and 2 tracks in distinctive PRR fashion. |
