Four Union Pacific SD40-2's come rolling off the Western Pacific causeway 3593, 3312, 3634, and 3472. How things have changed. The causeway was still really a causeway, Black Rock was still an island, and the water wasn't a quarter mile away from the track. Today the weeds are all grown up in this area. Plus the freeway has cement barricade all along here. If you do stop there is a chance the highway patrol is going to come pay you a visit. (Tom Ellis photo)
