| Amtrak tested out running the new Siemens SC-44 on the front of the California Zephyr in February, 2020. It left Denver in the middle of a blizzard as it made its way into the Colorado ROcky Mountains. Within this next year the similar looking Siemens ALC-42 will be on point shepherding the California Zephyr to and from Chicago, Illinois and Emeryville, California. |
