Remarks & Notes
This looks like a Penn Central train, but a close look shows that the black E8 on the point carries its new Amtrak number, 279. The northbound corridor run out of Washington is about to duck under the e-New Haven Midland line at Readville station on the southern edge of the city of Boston.
