You never knew what you'd find stored over the weekend at Conrail's 16th Street facility in the 1980s and 90s. Here we have an ex-Penn Central 1972-built SW1500, some assorted Geeps, and an American crane. With the closing of Bethlehem Steel and other industries, it became no longer necessary to maintain these facilities in Lebanon. The yard west of 16th Street (still mostly intact) is abandoned, except for one storage track that's occasionally used.
