Remarks & Notes
A train of export coal enters the Southern Pacific's Dolores Yard behind a trio of AC4400CW diesels in Februrary 1996. Meanwhile, a pair of SP "Cruds" - the nickname for Espee's ubiquitous SW1500s - switch a cut of cars on an adjacent track. In just a few short years, because of both the Southern Pacific-Union Pacific merger and the construction of the Alameda Corridor (which carries UP's and BNSF's tracks below grade to downtown Los Angeles), this area would be completely rebuilt.
