Remarks & Notes
The #701 Nord, a 4 cylinder 4-4-0, was the first successful attempt of designing a compound system steam locomotive in France. It has been designed by Alfred de Glehn in 1885 and has been built at the Société Alsacienne de Construction Mécanique (SACM) in Belfort. The #701 has been retired from active service in December 1928.
