Remarks & Notes
The Phase IV Heritage is on its first trip to New York State as it waits for it's 7:05PM departure time from Albany. It's on the head end of a 13 car Lake Shore Limited, assisted by AMTK 76. The consist includes 2 baggage cars, a diner, and 3 Viewliners. The Albany-Rensselaer Amtrak station is the large building in the background. This building opened in September 2002 and is Amtrak's 9th busiest. Previous smaller stations from the Penn Central and early Amtrak era occupied the empty lots to the left of the train. This is where the Boston and New York City sections of the Lake Shore are combined.
