Holland's Tulip Festival is in full swing this week, and the tulips are bursting to life with color after some recent wet weather. This morning the flowers are greeted with sunshine and warm weather as Amtrak's Pere Marquette pulls into the depot to pick up passengers en route to Chicago. April showers = May flowers!

Amtrak has three routes that connect Michigan with Chicago, but none to the East or South. The routes are: Wolverine - Pontiac - Chicago; Blue Water - Port Huron - Chicago, and Pere Marquette - Grand Rapids - Chicago.
