| Morrison Knudsen (MPI) built 6 experimental MK5000C locomotives with Caterpillar prime movers in 1994. All six were acquired by Utah Railway in 2001 and remotored with standard EMD power plants in 2003. Here an immaculate UR 5005 leads a train of IPPX coal empties up Utah's Spanish Fork Canyon grade. |
