| A few weeks into the Conrail split and Selkirk Yard is looking like it has an identity crisis. The yard power in the background were still all dressed in Conrail blue and not one of them had been patched for CSX. Trains still carried Conrail symbols, and I have this one noted as ML-407 which was ready to depart west at CP FB. CSX 8380 wears the first official yellow nose paint scheme. It was one of a group of SD40s rebuilt as SD40-2s starting in the late 1980s. Trailing is a Union Pacific (former Southern Pacific) tunnel motor which only briefly wore the number 4560. |
