Pigs Over the Congaree. Due to a derailment in Hamlet, NC, I137 was rerouted down the Monroe Sub to Greenwood, SC. Initially, I had heard it would proceed down the McCormick Sub toward Savannah, but there apparently are height restrictions on that Sub that would preclude that routing. So the train was routed south down the CN&L through Cayce, SC, and then down the Columbia Sub to Savannah. Here, it runs over the Congaree on its way into Cayce Yard. It's rare in Columbia that we see any Pig trains (that's what the NS folks call container trains here) over the Congaree, and I've managed to drone both of the ones that have run in the last few years.
