The UP LAW51 makes its weekly run from Taylor to Smithville, past the MKT depot in Elgin and the famous searchlights that still stand against all odds. After using road power for most of the past five years, this local has recently switched back to standard cab EMDs, a welcome sight for central Texas railfans.
