Built over 100 years ago, this 2-10-2 steam locomotive, number 3876, was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works for the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway. It had a total engine and tender weight of 687,000 lbs., and a tractive force of 81,500 lbs. It was built in Eddystone, Pennsylvania, where my great, great Uncle Robert F. McKee, Sr., worked as a design engineer at Baldwin. This Baldwin Locomotive Works builders photo card is from the John R. Doughty collection.
