The massive cliffs behind Green River and the equally massive Green River depot provide a backdrop for a westbound freight headed by DD35A 74 and three SD40's and an SD45. The 17600 horespower will be enough to get the long train over the summits at Peru, eight miles ahead, and at Altramont, eighty miles beyond Peru, on July 18, 1975.
