Remarks & Notes
Relics Fore River Transportation is the only operator of GE Dash 7 locomotives in New England, and one of only a handful in the country. On August 9th, 2024, the Fore River welcomed PNLX 2107 and 9619 (MBTA leasers for work trains) for their 92-day inspection. Pictured here is 101, a B23-7 originally built for Conrail in 1979, parked for the day with the two leasers. To the right is 7750, a GP38 originally built for Penn Central in 1969, which was later acquired by the Juniata Terminal Company and sold to Fore River. 7750, which had been inoperable for quite some time, has since been purchased by the MBTA and is rumored to be a future work locomotive. Photo taken with permission of the crew after they were done making moves for the day.
