Remarks & Notes |
Delaware and Lackawanna.
Railfest 2025 at Steamtown National Historic Site included multiple locomotives graciously lent by the local short line, the Delaware-Lackawanna (DL). The railroad is well-known as a haven for diesels built by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO), rebuilding and operating the less-common and in some cases rare locomotives on a daily basis. Here we see two of their locomotives on display in fresh heritage schemes: C425 no. 2452 in Erie Lackawanna (EL) paint, and RS3 no. 4068 in resplendent Delaware & Hudson blue and gray. |
