The four-axle Be 4/4 electric locomotive with Sécheron single-axle drive was built in 1931 by SLM and SAAS (Sécheron) for the Bodensee-Toggenburg Railway (BT) in a series of six. The highly successful design, with 1199 kW and a top speed of 80 km/h, was also delivered to the Emmental-Burgdorf-Thun Railway (EBT) and the Solothurn-Münster Railway (SMB). The Be 4/4 # 11 was transferred from the BT to the Südostbahn during the merger and was sold to SLM GmbH (Schorno Locomotive Management) in 2017. Since 2022, the locomotive has belonged to Open Track Railway Technology GmbH, is stationed in Winterthur, and is now operational again after various repairs. Be 4/4 # 11 is operating as train 31057 under the EVU UTL from Winterthur to Bauma with the dynamometer car Xd4 # 99701 between Wila and Saland in the Töss valley.
