Former Santa Fe F45 #92 heads out of the diesel shops at IRM to pair up with #6976 and lead the final train of the day. The museum has owned this engine since May 1997, when it was donated by BNSF. It was initially a static display piece until 2010, when the unit was used as a control cab. NRE in Silvis, IL later outfitted #92 with a new engine, enabling it to pull trains on its own as of 2018.
