With the official takeover date of March 1, 2025, I have been out trying to shoot the Iowa Northern as the CN makes changes to the railroad. Job changes came first in March, and now power changes have started in April. The classic IANR shot departing Manly. I saw a Rock Island photo from 1978 online this week, and this location hasn't changed much from the Rock days. Unfortunately, the tenants of the railroads have been constantly changing, and this scene will again change soon with CN power coming to the IANR property. Here the Manly Jobs begin their trip to Butler as they cross the UP Spineline.
