| Indian Railways WDG4G leads a cut of boxcars north through Jaipur Junction. As of January of this year, 520 units of this class have been produced. The first 50 units were manufactured at GE's plant in Erie, with the rest being developed at the Diesel Locomotive Factory in Marhowrah as part of a joint initiative with Indian Railways. The "Diesel Loco Shed Gandhidam" text below the engineer's window denotes the GE-operated maintenance facility this locomotive is based out of. Gandhidam is the main shed for western India. |
