This 0-8-0, number 206, was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works for the Mahoning Ore and Steel Company. It had a total engine and tender weight of 354,500 lbs., and a tractive force of 60,100 lbs. The back of the specification card states that the locomotive was built for Pickens, Mather & Company. It was built in Eddystone, Pennsylvania, where my great, great Uncle Robert F. McKee, Sr., worked as a design engineer at Baldwin. This Baldwin Locomotive Works builders photo card is from the John R. Doughty collection.
Dedicated to my father, John R. Doughty, Sr., and to his great uncle, Robert F. McKee, Sr., who worked at the Baldwin Locomotive Works as a senior design engineer, including working on the design for the Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range 2-8-8-4 Yellowstones
