Final Hours...
It's the last week of roadrailer operations for Norfolk Southern; the iconic and once innovative service is slated to be replaced by conventional intermodal equipment next week. As such, railfans from all over including myself have been out to capture the last days of service. We caught up with eastbound 256 as they were holding the main for traffic ahead on the Huntington District, just outside the namesake town for the line.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
