The new generation of Tze-Chiang Limited Express train debuted in 2021. TRA intended to replace several aging train types with the new 12-car train. The train has an award-winning appearance, jointly designed by the design advisory commission, designers, and the maker Hitachi. It also represents the new image of Taiwan Railway after the privatization.
