On the morning of Sunday, June 11, 2023, NJ Transit NJTR 4112 (GP40PH-2, ex-NJTR 4107, exx-NJTDOT née-CNJ 3678, GP40P, 10/1968), 4203 (GP40PH-2B, ex-CR 3222, née-PC 3222, GP40, 11/1968) and 4302 (GP40-2, ex-CR 3197, née-PC 3197, GP40, 10/1968) were leading a train of Continuously Welded Rail (CWR) as it crossed River Draw of Raritan Bay from South Amboy to Perth Amboy, New Jersey on the North Jersey Coast Line. As part of the celebration of the 175th Anniversary of the Central Railroad of New Jersey, NJTR 4112 will be on display behind the Phillipsburg Union - PU Tower at the Brainard Street Crossing on the Washington Line in Phillipsburg, New Jersey on Saturday, May 11, 2024. Just up the block is Phillipsburg Union Station, where this unit operated on the Raritan Valley Line until service was cut back from Phillipsburg to High Bridge, New Jersey in December of 1983.
