Remarks & Notes

F3A 4134, F3B 4329, F7B 4402 and F7A 4185 at Southern's Inman yard, Atlanta, GA. To accommodate a 1225 gallon water tank, Southern relocated the air tanks to the roofs of several F3As, including 4134. This modification, as well as the installation of dynamic brakes on 4134 were rebuilt to F7 ratings at Spencer Shops in May 1954. Photo by R.D. Sharpless, from my collection.
