Remarks & Notes
Constitution Liner in the Constitution State. Connecticut DOT SPV-2000 no. 1001 (Budd, 1980) is seen in the yard at the Danbury Railway Museum. These "Self-Propelled Vehicles" were intended to be the successor to the iconic RDC, but suffered from extensive issues that earned them the moniker "Seldom-Powered Vehicles." In 1995 some of the CDOT-owned cars had their engines removed and were converted to passenger cars dubbed "Constitution Liners."
