Remarks & Notes

Orejano Canyon A Union Pacific Stack Train battles the steep grade and Curves above Cliff. The train has just exited Tunnel 7 and will soon plunge into Tunnel 8. A Massive concrete retaining walls help hold the right-of-way close the mountainside as the rails wrap along the rim of Oregano Canyon. The train was long had no DPU and crawled at walking speed up the mountain. Note: The photo was taken with permission and a written release.
