| Another CAD casualty. Dining car VIA 8402 (Alexandra) has been stripped down at CAD and is likely to be scrapped in the near future. It was undergoing what I believe is a tear-down examination at CAD. VIA Rail was mandated by a Transport Canada order released on October 19th of last year to do a number of tests on stainless steel cars. At left is a testbed built on what was an LRC locomotive. |
