The invigorating scent of pines and exhilarating freshness of the air here, at the edge of Glacier National Park, accompanies the sight and sound of an approaching eastbound. Beginning its ascent of Marias Pass, the 6837 East - probably a PASNTW symbol - is crossing the high trestle above the Flathead River. There's a DPU unit and pair of Essex helpers on the rear of the train.
