| UP 2000, a UP local operating as a caboose hop passes MILW SD9 502 and the big hook at Auburn siding, Auburn, WA. The MILW crew is cleaning up a minor derailment involving a Thrall all-door lumber car on the side track. This line carried both MILW and UP trains between Black River Jct. and Tacoma. This was the best maintained segment of Milwaukee's Washington state mainline due to UP's investment in track maintenance. UP owns the line today. |
