In Valley City, North Dakota, a westbound BN coal train powered by a pair of EMD SD60Ms, crosses the massive High Bridge over the Sheyenne River on August 11, 1991. Built by the Northern Pacific between 1906 and 1908, the 3,860-foot-long bridge soars 162 feet above the river.
