| Siemens "Taurus" locomotive 1116 # 246 of the ÖBB (Austrian State Railway) is crossing the 184 meter long and 46 meter high Kalte Rinne viaduct (built 1848 to 1854) on the Semmering north ramp with the RailJet RJ 559 from Vienna Airport via Vienna main station to Graz. The 41 kilometer long Semmering pass line from Gloggnitz to Mürzzuschlag, opened in 1854 and built by engineer Karl von Ghega, is declared UNESCO World Heritage since 1998. |
