Remarks & Notes |
The Rio Grande Southern 'Galloping Goose' no. 7 got a heavy blanket of snow during the Snowmageddon storm of March 14th. You can almost imagine this scene right out of the late 1940's / early 1950's, when it used to run in the southwest areas of Colorado. RGS 7 was built using a Pierce Arrow car body in 1936 and was originally configured for freight service. In 1950 the freight box was converted into a passenger compartment to generate additional revenue. |
