Don't Fear the Reaper

Having earlier removed the rail from the former Reading station at Southampton, PA, two front end loaders sit poised and ready for the next task at hand. The station is safe, but the ties will soon be removed and the right of way of Reading's former Newtown branch (which last saw service by SEPTA in 1983) will soon be graded and made ready for the transformation from rails to trails. This will be an extension of the Pennypack Trail.
