Crews on Wisconsin Central Jordan spreader No. 315 confer before plowing out the railroad’s snow-covered yard at Ishpeming, Michigan, on December 29, 1996. The hydraulic-powered blades that can extend from the sides of the machine are very useful in pushing snow well off the roadbed. Powering the spreader is WC EMD SDL39 No. 585.
