Remarks & Notes |
Land of the Multiple Units. Quartet of high-speeds shown under 'Cabina A' ex-control tower: Frecciabinca 8820 (strictly speaking these E414s are not part of Trenitalia's AV - Alta Velocitá - means High Speed) arriving from Taranto-Bari-Parma, next to it an ETR 700 is pulling to the platforms for later departure as Frecciargento AV 8829 Milano C-Bologna-Ancona. On the far left a Swiss RABe 503 (Alstom ETR 610/Pendolino from factory) already on the way to Zürich, later crossing the Gotthard base tunnel, and on the far right Italo AV 9988 service from Rome arrives featuring an Alstom AGV set. Both control towers -Cabina A close and Cabina C in the distance- are disused since 1984 when the electric signal control system was put in use. |
