The Chicago-bound Boston section of "The Lake Shore Limited" accelerates out of West Springfield, MA along the Westfield River, preparing for its assault of the Berkshires just ahead. That's CSX's West Springfield Yard and the Springfield city skyline in the background. This train will combine with its New York City section at Albany/Rensselaer, NY in a few hours and continue as Amtrak 49 for the rest of the way to the Windy City.
