| Burlington Northern SD40-2 6900 at Belknap St Roundhouse in Superior August 1976. This SD40-2 was built in March 1973 as BN 6364 and became BNSF 6922. At the time of this photo, the SD40-2 model was just starting to make it's presence in the Twin Ports but would go on to dominate coal and taconite trains here for many decades. Even yard power in Superior has been SD40-2s since the retirement of the old SD9s. Robert C. Anderson Photo from my Collection. |
